Chapter I - MARKS OF THE STORMBORN

In the blood-soaked fields of Lakonia, beneath a thunderstorm that split the sky, a child was born — not in a cradle, but among corpses.

His mother, Thaleia, a fierce Spartan warrior, gave birth to him as she lay dying on the battlefield, surrounded by slain enemies. Her final breath was a whisper to the storm:

"Protect him."

The storm raged unnaturally that night — thunder howled, lightning split the sky, yet the infant lay untouched by rain, blood, or flame.

The priests whispered that Zeus had marked him.

They named him EREVOS — born of storm and war, forged in mortal blood.

Catharsis is a side-scrolling hack-and-slash RPG game developed by Nereus Indies, set in an Ancient Greece-inspired medieval world.

Merging classic beat 'em up mechanics with an ultra-violent combat system, the game requires minimal input while delivering maximum carnage, drenched in gore.

Chapter I - Marks of the Stormborn  is a short  dose of mindless, brutal action at its finest. - though not so mindless, as survival demands skill, timing, and raw instinct.

While Catharsis ended up leaner than originally planned — thanks to the usual indie combo of limited time and budget — it still brings the blood-soaked action we aimed for.

Depending on how much traction it gets, we plan to add more chaos: extra Chapters, Skills, and online PvP.
